The Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for runners. Runners from all 50 states and more than 60 countries will set out from Dodger Stadium to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the Finish Line in Santa Monica.

Getting To The Start

Race Day Shuttles
The easiest way to get to the Start Line is by taking a complimentary pre-race shuttle. Click Here for more pre-race shuttle information.

Dropping Off at Dodger Stadium
Vehicles dropping off runners at Dodger Stadium must enter through the Golden State Gate accessible via I-5. Use the LEFT lanes leading into the Golden State Gate and proceed to the Runner Drop-Off Area in Parking Lot 4.

Parking at Dodger Stadium
Vehicles parking at Dodger Stadium must enter through the Golden State Gate accessible via I-5. Use the RIGHT lanes leading into the Golden State Gate and proceed to Parking Lots 1, 2, and 3. For vehicle retrieval information, visit our Parking page.

Start Line Schedule

6:30 am – Wheelchairs
6:42 am – Handcycles
6:45 am – Elite Women
6:55 am – Elite Men & Full Field

Gear Check

Gear Check is located in Parking Lot K at Dodger Stadium. All gear checked at the Start Line will be transported to the Finish Line for pick-up post-race. Participants must use the clear plastic event-issued Participant Bag to check gear. Non-transparent bags, backpacks, or luggage will NOT be accepted. Do not check anything valuable or fragile as the Los Angeles Marathon is not liable for any loss or damage. Gear Check at the Start Line closes promptly at 6:30 am.

Seeded Corrals

Seeded corrals A, B, C, D, and E will open at 5:00 am. Each corral will have its own entrance and runners that have qualified for a Seeded Corral must show their bib to security personnel to gain entrance. The Seeded Corrals will close promptly at 6:40 am. Runners should plan accordingly and must be in their appropriate corral by 6:40 am or they will not be permitted entry into their seeded corral.

in the northwest corner of Parking Lot 6 near the Security Checkpoint #2
on the east side of Parking Lot 6 near the Shuttle Drop-Off
in Parking Lot K adjacent to Gear Check
inside Dodger Stadium on the Field Level concourse
Inside Dodger Stadium in the Left and Right Field Pavilions

Charity Suites/VIP Runners

Charity runners looking to access the Charity Suites and VIP runners looking to access the Stadium Club should walk toward the east end of Dodger Stadium (past the Right Field Pavilion) and use the stairs to head up to the Club Level entrance. Charity/VIP runners need to walk up three sets of stairs to make it to the Club Level. Runners with Charity Suite or VIP designation on their bib will need to show their bib to be allowed inside the Club Level at Dodger Stadium.

Once you’ve finished the Los Angeles Marathon, be sure you know where to meet your friends and family!

Runner Secured Finish Zone

Once runners cross the Finish Line, they will enter the Runner Secured Finish Zone, which is closed to the non-credentialed public. The Runner Secured Finish Zone is located on Ocean Ave from California Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Runners will keep moving south on Ocean Ave to collect their finisher medal, mylar blanket, Water, Gatorade Endurance Formula, post-finish food, and any items at Gear Check. Runners will exit the Runner Secured Finish Zone at Santa Monica Blvd. Spectators are not allowed into the Runner Secured Finish Zone.

Spectator Access

Spectator access will be closed on Ocean Ave from Washington Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Palisades Park will also be closed to spectators from Washington Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Any spectator wishing to watch their runner cross the Finish Line will need to station themselves on Ocean Ave north of Washington Ave.

Spectators are strongly encouraged to meet their runners at the Finish Festival or Family Reunion Area.

Family Reunion

The Family Reunion area will be located on Ocean Ave between Santa Monica Blvd and Broadway Ave.

Finish Festival

The Finish Festival is home to the Angel City Brewery Beer Garden, music, and other fun entertainment and giveaways! The Finish Festival is located on Santa Monica Blvd between 2nd St and Ocean Ave.

Massage Tent

All runners are able to receive a complimentary massage after completing the Skechers Performance Marathon. Look for the Massage Tent on Ocean Ave just south of Broadway Ave.

Hotel Shuttles

For participants who booked hotels in Downtown LA through our Hotel Reservation Center, Hotel Shuttles will be staged at Santa Monica City Hall. Shuttles require a wristband to board and will depart every half-hour beginning at 11:00 am with the last pick-up at 4:00 pm.

There will be no Beverly Hills Shuttles. Please plan accordingly.

Transportation At The Finish

Spectator Parking
Spectator parking in Santa Monica opens in most city-owned parking lots at 6:00 am. Click Here for a real-time parking map of available parking lots.

Bus Hub
To make taking public transit to/from Santa Monica easier on race day, Big Blue Bus will offer all transit service from a single Bus Hub at the 17th St/SMC Expo Line Station. All Big Blue Bus service that operates in Santa Monica on Sunday will arrive/depart from the Bus Hub. Marathon runners with a race bib can ride Big Blue Bus for free on race day.

Bike Valet
The City of Santa Monica will provide a Bike Valet from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm at both the Bike Center on 2nd St at Colorado Ave and on Ocean Ave at Tongva Park.

Metro Expo Line
Beat traffic and ride Metro Expo Line in and out of Santa Monica. Riders are encourage to preload TAP cards with roundtrip fare of $3.50 in stored value to make your trip that much faster. On race day, Metro will run enhanced weekend service on the Expo Line.

Metro Parking
While there is limited parking at the Metro lot on 17th St/SMC Station, you can also park at Expo/Bundy and Expo/Sepulveda Station and hop on the Expo Line. Once you park, conveniently pay at the on-site kiosk or on the Metro Parking app (available on Google or the App Store). Find out more at metro.net/parking.
